Providence University is a nonprofit Christian institution of higher education,

offering master’s and doctoral degree programs in biblical and theological subjects.

The University received an exempt status from California Bureau for Private Post-secondary Education (BPPE)

under California Education Code (C.E.D) section 94874(e).(1).

It is the university's goal obtain national accreditation of higher learning from regional and national accrediting agencies.
